This page documents how CanWePlayIt users consent to receive transactional SMS messages. CanWePlayIt sends service messages for band scheduling, invitations, availability confirmations, substitute requests, cancellations, member-removal notices, and account or support updates.
Where Opt-In Happens
End users opt in inside the CanWePlayIt mobile app after creating an account or accepting an invitation. The user opens Profile > Account > Contact Method, enters their mobile phone number, selects SMS, reviews the SMS disclosure, and taps Save Contact Method.
Disclosure Shown In The App
By choosing SMS and saving, you authorize CanWePlayIt to send transactional SMS messages about band scheduling, invitations, availability confirmations, substitute requests, and account/security updates. Message frequency varies based on band activity, typically 0-10 messages/month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not required to use CanWePlayIt; choose Email instead or switch back to Email at any time. See our Terms and Privacy Policy.

Opt-Out and Help
Users can stop SMS messages at any time by replying STOP, changing their communication method from SMS to Email in the app, or deleting their account. Users can reply HELP for assistance or email support@canweplayit.com.
Data Sharing
CanWePlayIt does not sell, rent, or share SMS opt-in data, phone numbers, or SMS consent records with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS-related information is shared only as needed to deliver and support CanWePlayIt messages.
